Fox seems to have a lot of faith in Simon Cowell's ability to spin reality TV into gold. The network is in talks to pick up an American adaptation of Cowell's new UK show called Food, Glorious Food!

The cooking show features a crew travelling around the country trying to find unique recipes for dishes to sell in a high-end supermarket with winners receiving a cash prize. An insider tells Radar Online, "It's a pretty easy formula to translate to U.S. audiences, it's a little bit like Antiques Roadshow meets Top Chef... and Simon believes it could really take off."

The series has yet to premiere in the UK but Simon is reportedly eyeing a U.S. premiere in 2014.

JOHN MAYER: "I Was a Jerk"

 (Photo: Getty Images)

John Mayer has finally revealed what caused him to say stupid things about his ex-girlfriends in interviews.

"I was just a jerk," the singer admitted in a sit-down with CBS Sunday Morning, set to air on Sunday.

John, who's currently dating Katy Perry, made headlines in 2010 when he referred to his ex Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm" in a Playboy interview. His other exes include Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Minka Kelly.

John is recovering from vocal-cord surgery and says he's looking to turn over a new leaf as he prepares to return to the stage for the first time in two years. In the interview, he said, "It's very liberating when you finally realize it's impossible to make everyone like you. I wanted everybody to like me. I thought I was one shuck and jive away in every direction."

'AMERICAN IDOL' HOLLYWOOD WEEK CONTINUES

(Photo: Fox)

Last night (February 7th) on American Idol, Hollywood week continued with solo performances from the male contestants.

The show began with a very nervous 22-year-old Paul Jolley. After his performance judge Nicki Minaj stated "You walked out so defeated and that really irritated me. It's such a turn off". Despite the nervousness he did advance to the next round. Matheus Fernandes sang Kelly Clarksons "Stronger". "I felt like everytime you perform you would sort of making reference to your height. Sometimes things can go from being inspiring to becoming you wanting a pity party" said Minaj. Fernandes was eliminated.

19-year-old Papa Peachez also performed. Nicki did not like his performance and said "I'm pretty sure that flame has burned out. I'm so disappointed". He did not move forward in the competition. US Navy seaman Micah Johnson sang "I Told You So" by Randy Travis. "We all know how talented you are but... for this round, it's not going to work" said judge Mariah Carey. He was sent home.

4 Natural Ways to Get Warmer

1. Try commercial-break yoga. If you've been parked in front of the TV all winter, deepening that groove in your couch, your circulation has slowed a bit. That'll make you chilly, so get the blood flowing again by doing a simple yoga pose during the commercials, or whenever, says Timothy McCall, M.D., a board-certified internist and the author of Yoga as Medicine. His favorite pose for firing up your internal heater? The cobra. Here's how to do it: Lie facedown on the floor with your palms near your chest. Push up, lifting your head, shoulders, and chest, pulling your shoulder blades down and together. Hold for 2 seconds, then lower yourself to the carpet again. After a few reps, you should feel toastier.

2. Don't be a mouth-breather. Just inhaling and exhaling through the nose filters the air and warms it, which can help your whole body feel toastier, McCall says. Inhale for four seconds, hold your breath for four seconds, then exhale for four seconds, and repeat a few more times. Who needs a blanket?

3. Put on a vest. Ever wonder why your hands and feet get so darn cold? "The body always sacrifices the extremities to maintain the heat of the core--the heart and lungs," says David Rakel, M.D., director of integrative medicine at the University of Wisconsin. The solution: Wear a vest. Your entire body will get warmer because blood flow won't be redirected from your hands and feet, Rakel says.

4. Brew a better tea. The most warming of all warming drinks: ginger tea. Ginger has properties that help relax your blood vessels, so it improves circulation--"you literally feel your toes and fingers getting warmer as you drink it," says Tieraona Low Dog, M.D., the fellowship director at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. It works whether you buy the packaged kind or make your own; just add ¨û tsp ground ginger to a cup of boiling water and let it sit for 10 minutes. Strain into a mug, add a touch of honey and lemon, and drink in the warmth.

NEW TREND: "YOU'RE NOT INVITED" ALERTS FOR WEDDINGS

The newest trend for weddings is not a certain centerpiece or color combination, but "You're not invited" alerts. Brides and grooms are contacting people to let them know they should not expect an invitation to their big day festivities. Tatiana Byron, founder of event planning service The Wedding Salon, says it usually happens due to lack of space, and the guilty-feeling couple tends to send the declarations to people they're friendly with, but not close to. Byron says her clients deliver the news in various forms, from e-mailing to sending cards, or having their wedding planner call and apologize on the couple's behalf. (Today)
