Gary Allan has charted his fifth #1 single this week with “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)”.  Garyco-wrote the song, which makes this #1 even sweeter!  While he usually never watches the charts (because he says he can't control what happens there)...he has watched this one every step of the way.  Gary says it's great to be back on the radio!

Kenny Chesney has proven that great music never goes out of style.  He’s made a career out of  creating music that has the ability to stick with fans.  Kenny says his goal is always to take an idea and wrap emotion around it in a great song.

The bad news…Thompson Square was involved in a bus accident early yesterday morning just outside of Nashville.  Good news…nobody involved was injured.  They’ll head back out on the road with Luke Bryan next week.

Thomas Rhett has country music running through his veins.  His dad is country star, and hit songwriter, Rhett Akins.  Even though Rhett has a ton of #1 songs under his belt…including Blake Shelton’s “Honey Bee”… he’s jealous that he didn’t have a hand in writing his son’s song “Beer With Jesus”.  Ironically, Thomas wishes he had a hand in writing "Honey Bee".

Carrie Underwood is a fan of Stephen King’s novel, Christine!  When you watch her video for “Two Black Cadillacs”…you can definitely see the similarity in the two storylines.  See for yourself above...

While much of Hollywood is suffering from the flu, Barbara Walters has come down with the chicken pox.

The View host was hospitalized after injuring her head in a fall during inauguration festivities. She was transferred to a New York hospital late last week and remains there with her new infection.

"You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature, but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood," her co-host Whoopi Goldberg explained on the air Monday.

(Photo: WENN/Kyle Blair)

Where's Tina Fey going once 30 Rock concludes this week? She hopes it's Broadway.

The comedienne says she developing a Mean Girls musical with her composer husband. Tina wrote the screenplay for the 2004 movie, which starred a pre-trainwreck Lindsay Lohan. Tina didn't talk about who would replace Linds, but she did say she'd like to cast Mariah Carey.

Tina said Mariah apparently knows all the characters following the diva's recent fight with her fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj. During the brawl, Mariah was adamant that she was no Regina George, the meanest of the mean girls. Tina agrees. She wants Mariah to play Regina's mother, who was played by Amy Poehler in the film.

WEIRD NEWS ...

Man, 22, killed for pulling into wrong driveway

A Gwinnett County man is in jail, accused of shooting a killing a man who pulled into his driveway.

Friends of Rodrigo Abad Diaz say the 22-year-old was trying to get to a friend’s house Saturday night. Instead his GPS took him to Phillip Walker Sailors’ house on Hillcrest Road in Lilburn.

Sailors came out of his home after the car pulled into the driveway and then went back inside for his gun and shot in the air, Yeson Jimenez, 15, told Channel 2 Action News. Jimenez says he, his brother, and a female were riding in the car with Diaz.

Diaz started to driveway, but Sailors, 69, fired his gun again. This time the bullet hit Diaz in the head, police say.

Sailors, of Lilburn, was arrested Sunday and his charged with murder, according to jail records.

“He is very distraught over the loss of life from the defense of his home,” Sailors’ attorney Michael Puglise said. “This incident happened late in the evening hours when he was home with his wife and he assumed it was a home invasion and he maintains his innocence.”

Sailors remained late Monday in jail, where he was being held without bond. He has no known criminal history.

Lilburn police declined to release additional information about the shooting Monday night, citing the ongoing investigation.

Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was?

Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses.

Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale.

A CAR THAT GETS 117 MILES PER GALLON

If you’re tired of forking over big bucks every time you pull into a gas station, you’re not alone. The high price of gas affects everybody, which is why some gas-electric hybrids that do better than 50 miles per gallon get some people so excited.

While 50 miles is a lot, can you imagine 117?

Well, the French automaker Peugeot Citroen has shown off a car that gets such great mileage because when it’s not running on gasoline, it uses air.

There’s literally a tank of compressed air in the floor or trunk that’s recharged by the engine or the brakes.

And when you’re just driving on city streets, the engine cuts off – and the air pushes the pistons.

The company could start selling air-hybrid cars in Europe by 2016. (ABC News)
