Randy Houser’s one-year-old son West just celebrated his first Christmas and like most babies…wasn’t sure what to think of it!  He seemed to be more interested in the wrapping paper than the presents!  The new year brings new music for Randy Houser fans, with his latest single “How Country Feels” and his third album hitting stores January 22nd.

Need a little Keith Urban fix before American Idol premieres next week?  Perfect!  He makes an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight on NBC.  The premiere of American Idol is January 16th on Fox.

Taylor Swift and Hunter Hayes made the cut for this year’s official Grammy’s Album.  The 2013 Grammy Nominees album will feature Taylor's hit, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and Hunter’s #1 single, “Wanted”.  Pick it up in stores January 22nd.  Then watch the 55th Annual Grammy Awards February 10th on CBS.

Taylor Swift won Favorite Country Artist for the third consecutive year at last night’s People’s Choice Awards.  Other country artists that picked up nominations, but didn’t receive an award include Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw.

 

 

 

 

CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton has a brand new song on the radio!  It’s called “Sure Be Cool If You Did”.  The song tells the story about the moment you fall for a new flame.  And while no plans have been announced, it’s expected to be the lead single from a new studio album.  Give it a listen by clicking the box above...

Taylor Swift is among the first set of announced performers on the upcoming Grammy Awards.  No word yet on what Taylor will perform.  The Grammy’s will air live from Los Angeles February 10th.

Beyonce may be a mom now, but the pop star has still got it going on, and she wants the world to know.

For the February cover of GQ Jay-Z’s girl posed in a sporty crop top and tiny leopard underwear.

Beyonce is set to perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Pepsi recently announced that 100 fans will introduce the Grammy-winning diva when she takes the stage Feb. 3 at New Orleans' Mercedes-Benz Superdome. A contest will allow fans to submit photos of themselves in various poses, including head bopping, feet tapping and hip shaking. Those pictures will be used in a TV ad to air ahead of Beyonce's halftime performance, and 50 of those who submit photos -- along with a friend -- will be selected to introduce the singer.

Taylor Swift Flashes Cleavage After Harry Styles Split at People's Choice Awards

Taylor Swift looked effortlessly cool in a plunging white figure-hugging Ralph Lauren gown on the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live red carpet at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

With her blond bangs smoothed back from her forehead, the 23-year-old songstress looked poised amid recent news that she and beau, Harry Styles, 18, have parted ways.

The country singer took to the stage to accept her award for Favorite Country Artist early in the evening and thanked her fans for their support.

"I want to thank you for caring about my music, and for caring about me," she said during her acceptance speech. "Thanks so much you guys, I love you."

Alabama QB's girlfriend: ‘Flattered’ by ESPN comments


 Three days after the BCS championship, the biggest story from the game has not been Alabama’s win, but comments made about Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend as she watched from the stands. Katherine Webb, who is Miss Alabama USA 2012, talks about her overnight fame, saying she’s not offended and thinks people have been “unfair” to the commentators.

CBS SELLS OUT OF SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL TIME

CBS is completely sold out of air time for Super Bowl 47. Network president Leslie Moonves confirmed tthe news o the New York Times on Tuesday and added that some exceptions will be made for companies willing to pay more than usual for their spots.

The Times also reports that this year has been record-breaking with some commercial spots selling for over $4 million. Ad agency executives estimate that CBS got an average of $3.7 to $3.8 million for every 30 seconds of airtime.

Sketchers, Toyota, Chrysler, and Taco Bell are a few of the advertisers viewers could expect to see this year.

Anheuser-Busch has announced plans to unveil a new beer during one of their ads.

The game itself has broken ratings records for the past three years.

This year's game will be held on Sunday, February 3rd.

Anderson Cooper took some time on his talk show to announce that rumors of him posing for Playgirl magazine are untrue. He believes the rumors were started by people at the magazine to boost publicity.

 

COUPLE CHOOSE WEDDING DATE USING ZIP CODE

A couple in Amesbury, Massachusetts decided on their wedding date using the numbers of their zip code. Cheryl Bennett and Steven DeLong chose January 9th, 2013 because the numbers match their zip code, 01913. Bennett told reporters, "What better place and time to do it. People just pick dates all the time, so to have a date with such significance is really special." (ABC Local)

 

SODA LINKED TO DEPRESSION RISK

What you drink could affect your emotions--that's according to a study presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology. The results of the study suggest that drinking sweetened beverages increases risk of depression, and drinking coffee decreases risk of depression. Specifically, researchers found that drinking four cups or cans of soda daily was linked with a 30-percent increase in risk for depression, while drinking four cups or cans of diet soda or fruit punch increased depression risk by 38-percent. Drinking four cups of coffee daily was linked with a ten-percent decrease in risk for depression. Study researcher Dr. Honglei Chen says, "Our research suggests that cutting out or down on sweetened diet drinks or replacing them with unsweetened coffee may naturally help lower your depression risk."
